The Idea
A subscription-based preventive health platform for pets that delivers twice-yearly bloodwork panels, displays results on an AI-powered dashboard scored against breed-and-age-specific baselines, and connects pet owners with on-call veterinarians via 24/7 chat. The platform tracks a longitudinal "Healthspan Score" over the pet's lifetime, turning opaque lab printouts into actionable, plain-English insights that help owners catch disease early and optimise their pet's lifespan.
Who It's For
Millennial and Gen-Z pet owners (ages 25–45) who already spend on premium pet food, insurance, and wellness products. Skews toward dog owners in suburban/urban US households with $75K+ income. Secondary: breeders and breed clubs.
What's Built
The prototype focuses on the owner-facing web application — not the lab integrations or clinic network. We will build:
- Auth & onboarding: Sign up, log in, log out, create a pet profile (name, species, breed, age, weight)
- Pet dashboard: A single-pet view showing a computed Healthspan Score, most recent panel results with breed-baseline comparisons, and urgency-ranked markers with plain-English explainers
- Manual result entry / mock data seeding: Admin or user can enter bloodwork values (or load a demo dataset) since real lab API integration is out of scope for MVP
- Longitudinal history: A timeline chart showing how key markers trend over multiple panels
- AI Vet Chat: An LLM-powered chat interface scoped to the pet's health data that can interpret results and suggest next steps
- Subscription plan selection: A simple plan picker (no real payment processing — Stripe test mode) showing the $299/year base plan and add-ons
Explicitly out of scope for MVP: clinic network / booking, mobile blood-draw scheduling, real IDEXX/Antech lab integrations, pet insurance white-label, mobile app.
