Bio
Who I am.
I'm a software engineer who lives at the intersection of code and design. After years building production features at Microsoft and Galvanize, I've grown obsessed with turning conceptual designs into living, user-centric applications - software that's equally useful and considered to look at.
Metis AI Research is how I scratch that itch now. I take my startup ideas and ship them as working prototypes. The goal is less about any single app and more about compounding taste, speed, and judgment through sheer volume. This site is the public ledger.

Where I've been.
Software Engineer · Quandri Technologies
Jul 2025 – presentPlatform team - frontend architecture, the design system, and agentic developer tooling.
- –Proposed and owned the removal of Blueprint.js, the core component library blocking UI customization - delivered ahead of estimate with zero reported bugs in production, unblocking the upgrade to React 19.
- –Led the Nexus migration from a legacy data source to a new service: managed evolving data structures and architecture, revamped the UI of Connect (core product), coordinated customer communication with PMs, and deprecated the legacy UI code.
- –Partnered with UX to rebuild the design system - consistent design tokens plus a Figma-to-code Claude plugin that generates production code in our design language, enabling non-engineers to ship product-quality UI from Figma designs.
- –Built Claude skills for FE/BE deployment and parallel Linear ticket work (subagents + git worktrees, each ending in a tested, reviewed PR), letting me focus on work needing deeper attention while smaller, simpler tickets complete in the background.
Co-founder & Lead Engineer · Metis AI Research Inc.
Sep 2023 – presentBuilding AI-native products - home of the Fully Baked pipeline and Arotaro, an AI-powered mental health app live on Android and iOS.
- –Co-founded a three-person startup; designed and launched arotaro.ai (https://arotaro.ai/) - an AI-powered mental health app with a fortune-telling twist, built with React Native + FastAPI, live on the Android and iOS stores.
- –Designed and run the Fully Baked pipeline - an end-to-end agentic automation that ships my startup ideas as deployed prototypes, 17+ apps to date.
- –Integrated PostHog for product analytics - used funnels and engagement data to detect drop-off points and confusing features, driving every product iteration.
- –Migrated infrastructure from AWS to Azure (Microsoft for Startups credits), which allowed us to provide the app for free and study user behavior for improvements.
- –Built an internal agent creator that automates company operations and mundane tasks.
Software Engineer · Microsoft · Win11 Widgets
Jun 2022 – Jul 2024Feature work across the Windows 11 Widgets canvas in the Experience & Devices org.
- –Designed and shipped the Inline Video feature for Widgets - a video feed that reaches hundreds of millions of devices, driving +0.2% DAU, +1% engagement via non-navigation clicks, and transferring +1.69% of users to the Windows homepage. The architecture was adopted by the Games and Windows 10 teams for their own inline feeds.
- –Lived a telemetry-centric life: ran multiple flights (A/B experiments) per feature and analyzed scorecards to pick the best version before rollout.
- –Owned feature work across core Widgets experiences, including the notification and weather cards.
- –Eliminated and consolidated redundant background API calls for the widget, cutting server cost and reducing loading time: −3.67% AppError, −3.83% Time to Visual Readiness.
Software Engineer · Microsoft · MSN
Jun 2021 – Jun 2022Frontend engineer on the MSN.com rebuild.
- –Rebuilt the MSN.com frontend from React to Web Components on a newly formed team, delivering full UI parity with the legacy (C#) MSN.com.
- –Drove the global rollout by analyzing per-market (country) flight scorecards and executing necessary adjustments to release the new MSN.com worldwide.
- –Shipped early Edge Sidebar features: infinite-scrolling news feed, in-place article reading, and customizable sidebar tabs.
Software Engineer II · Galvanize
Oct 2018 – Jun 2021Principal maintainer and SME for Launchpad, the company's authentication and user-management portal.
- –Architected a fast, scalable platform-wide permission service using DynamoDB, Lambda, and SQS.
- –Saw countless projects (OK, 12) from inception to production - architecture, data design, testing, infrastructure, deployment, and cross-team collaboration.
- –Earned the Relentless Award, the engineering org's recognition, for playing a critical role in the rebrand of the entire product.
Software Engineer I · Galvanize
Feb 2017 – Oct 2018Fullstack engineer across Ruby on Rails, React, and Node.js.
- –Led the transition from Backbone.js to React, improving robustness and speed.
